Granny's Old CottageThe self-catering suite adjoins the main house of the New Inn.
Though it has recently gone through some make up, with the addition of the wood burner, a retro electric hob and oven dating back to the 50's, and raised beds, to make it all more appealing and comfortable, this building dates back to the 1700's, nothing is straight and square.. ware of age is inevitably visible.. it is for those that love the old and authentic and does not mind the chip on the sink... nor the uneven lime wash on walls.. I just love the variation of colour that inevitably comes through a lime washes living colours.... The suite consists of a kitchen with an oil-fired Rayburn, the bathroom a living room with an old range wood burner for snug evenings and warm winters. Upstairs is one double bedroom with a king size bed , and on the spacious landing there is twin beds. The landing separated from the stair case by thick velvet curtain. Note the head space when getting out of bed, is limited, as the whole upstairs is under eves, tall people have to be mindful of that. Just to mention, so that you are not surprised... Dogs must not be left on their own at any time The reason why I am showing Granny's Old Cottage here, is becasuse it is a unique Old space, I want people to see what they are coming to, it is not a modern space, it is old..... You need to like the Old and the crooked with all its charm of what an ancient building offers......
