Wesleyan Methodist Chapel  on top of Brilley mountain, built in 1878  , was present at the same time as the Orient Express!!!.....and served  the nearby community until 1967.

Very lucky to have been offered it, as the new owner had no use for it.... I am happy to think that it will serve retreatants on their practices of contemplation and meditation, and at other times to comfort those  of us that long for those long lost memories of our childhood.... by getting together  with good friends...  by getting together with our families ....   getting together and sharing....  dropping off to sleep mumbling away old memories.....  telling stories.... stories about how we feel..... things that we have forgotten ....  things that are most important ....  and most comforting ..  that actually we   need    most .....
It sleeps 14 in total, it is well insulated,  all the interior timber , walls and floorboards  has been recycled from the chapel. sitting spaces around the log burner.  lighting is solar.  From the dormitory carriage we connect to the kitchen carriage, fully equipped kitchen with sitting  benches and a long table, all crockery and pans and pots is here.
Out on the leaded lights surrounded courtyard are benches, a big table, a fire pit, a BBQ, then a decking where you will find basins for washing up, hot shower, a Victorian roll top bath tub, 2 Swedish urine separating toilets.

A SPECIAL NOTICE....  Though it is private, neighbours are not far off, we requests all guests to be mindful of noise.....   as this place is appreciated for its quiet and peaceful surrounding..  Thank you
